When you're in the season, there's a rhythm.

There's a flow.

Monday is the same. Tuesday,

the same. Wednesday, you get the point. You know that Thursday night games are coming. So Wednesday,

what are we talking about? Thursday, we know what we're talking about Friday. It's just a blank slate.

It's an open palette.

You can do whatever you want during the offseason, especially in the weeks before things really get going.

And things are going to get going.

We've got the combine coming up in two weeks in Indianapolis.

Free agency, a little over a month away. The draft, not that far behind it.

See, the NFL has found a way to take the months where it's not playing games and create

opportunities for interest, revenue, not nearly the same

revenue that they make during the season, but they used to go seven months without making

jack squat.

Now they've got three major tent pole events, combine, free agency, draft, and they could have a fourth one to draft lottery if they wanted to, but they don't.
