There's no substitute for live, but it's so terrifying to do live college football shows in December, in Transfer Portal season.

Because I'm just strolling through the hallway doing my meditative pregame, as usual.

And all of a sudden, I get like 47 texts.

Matt Zenitz has dropped a bomb on us.

We got Transfer Portal activity in Athens, Georgia. This is just boom, boom, boom. This is the way it is this time of year. And we're supposed to keep track of it all. But hey, it's better than having a real job. We're jam-packed high atop a festive downtown Nashville, Tennessee. On this Thursday, December 14th, the Year of Our Lord, 2023.

SEC schedule has been dropped in our lap.

I am going to give you some thoughts, and then later on, I'll have a friendly guest join us and give you his thoughts as well.

Transfer Portal, like I said, insane, on fire.

We could have done an hour-long transfer portal segment tonight.

We're going to try our best, no promises, to condense it a

little bit tighter than that, immunity. College football health. I have a question for you,

and I want you to think on it. I'm not going to talk about it right away. Do you think college football is

healthy right now? Do you? And follow-up question, how do you gauge college football's health?

What statistics, what metrics do you use to gauge that? What's the barometer?

Cole Kublich is making a mysterious reappearance on the show later tonight, and I've got

some bones to pick with him. Spoiler alert, I'll also be wearing a different

t-shirt by the time I talk to him. I'll let you figure out how that went down. They're watching us,

believe it or not, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, no accent, because I can't do it. I can't even roll an R

when we say Buenos Aires, Argentina. So I am, I best to get some of the non-continental U.S. cities pronounced, but I do my best.
