In full disclosure, we had to redo this video because the guy that I wanted to take, Thomas White, didn't get scratched from his start. No, no, no. Instead, he got scratched from his start not to get called up. He got scratched because he got hurt. We don't know what's going on with Thomas White, but we had to redo this video. But luckily, we're here on Fantasy Bros. MLB on the YouTube channel, full service here. We're about quality. First and foremost. And Joe Rico, I got to tell you, the Marlins pitch is really kicking our ass here on the show the last couple weeks between Welsh picking Braxton Garrett and then all of a sudden me picking Thomas White. It hasn't been good. So I think it might be a good note to just stay away from the fifth spot that Merlin's rotation. What do you think?

Yeah, I'll say so. It's been this way for several years now. It feels Max, I think it was 2023 or 2024. I'm probably 24 where Max Meyer was shoving in the minor leagues and they weren't

calling him up. Yeah. Why does this have to happen every single year? We have to have Chris Paddock

starts and all this nonsense. Just put the five best guys out there. Eventually it'll happen someday. Chris Paddock starts. Yikes. All right. So if you miss the waiver wire hitters, you can go back and watch it on demand on YouTube, but we are talking about the pitchers today. I'm going to start with Zebby Matthews of the Minnesota twins. Another good start for him. Zebby Matthew so far since the call-up, He's had two appearances. He's one in one. He's got 13 innings under his belt.

11 strikeouts. Just one walk.

Nine hits. The whip is at 0.77. The ERA is 138. And I know some of you might say, again, he's rostered in my league to which I'm going to say he's available in more than 50% of leagues right now on CBS,

which means on Yahoo and ESPN, that's more like 30 or even less. So if you're in shallow leagues, Zebby Matthews is a guy that can help you in deeper leagues. He probably got picked up as soon as he was getting called back up. So I get it. I understand. But Joe Rico in 10 and 12 team leagues right now. It feels like Zebby Matthews is a guy that you can kind of get by with.

He was kind of also a little up and down in the minor leagues. But since the call, Zebby's been really solid. And this is one of the better prospects in that Minnesota Twins organization from the pitching side. So Joe Ryan's pitch well, Zemby Matthews is pitched well. Tosh Bradley is pitched well. Maybe things are looking up for this pitching staff for the future. We shall see. But right now in fantasy, I feel pretty good about Zemmy Matthews and adding him. And I think that's a guy that will stick in that rotation too. I'm not a big fan of the Simeon Woods Richardson's of the world. And those guys, they are not exciting from fantasy. Zevi Matthews can be. So Joe O'Riko, give me a guy that could also possibly be exciting off the waiver wire for pitchers this week in fantasy baseball. Yeah, I'm taking a look at Ben Brown, another guy that it feels like we've been waiting a very long time for, but he's only 26 years old. The Cubs have started to stretch him out over the last three appearances just because they've been in such a dire need for starting pitchers.

And he actually made it to five innings in his last start against the Brewers, three earned run, six strikeouts. The previous outing to that was against the best offense in the league in the Braves. He gave you four shutout innings with seven strikeouts. The numbers as a whole, starting, relieving, they've been phenomenal. He has a 209 ERA. He has a 0.98 whip.

The strikeouts and walks are phenomenal 26 percent seven percent respectively but the quality of

contact against him is non-existent this is a guy who was allowing 11 percent barrel rate last

year and almost a 50 percent hard hit rate it's down to a 4 percent barrel and a 38% hard hit rate. And the big thing here is the

amount of balls he's putting on the ground. A 42% ground ball rate has gone up to 53%. He's either

striking guys out or he's inducing weak contact on the ground. Ben Brown feels like a rest of season

name. But if you are only looking for a streamer or you don't think you can spare the roster space in the long run, his next outing is against the Pirates. That'll come on Monday. So it'll light him up for a two-star week, and the Pirates are the 28th ranked offense this year. So streamer, long term, I like Ben Brown from a number of perspectives. Yeah, he's been a godsend too for that rotation with all the the Boyd injuries and the and the uh kate horton earlier in the
