phrase. You know, I substituted for Amy last time, and it was hard. It's hard to be a podcast

has. It's a job, and she does it really well. Yes, she does. We've mentioned in some previous episodes

that at many organizations, the only opportunity for growth and advancement and a pay bump is become a manager.

So for folks who thrive on building a team and guiding others to achieve results, becoming

a manager, maybe a dream come true.

For high-performing individual contributors who are experts in their fields, however,

I may have a low frustration tolerance

for hurting cats, management could be an absolute nightmare. So how do you know if management

is right for you? Way back in season one, Kim and Russ had a conversation about this. However,

given the recent data, which we will share

links to in the show notes, that bad management is costing the global economy trillions of dollars,

deciding whether or not to become the boss is a decision one shouldn't take lightly. I would

argue you should never take it lightly, even if it wasn't costing the economy trillions

of dollars. Yes, I agree. I agree. The trillions of dollars are really beside the point. You create

misery if you're a bad boss. And that is, I mean, that does cost trillions of dollars, but before that,

it creates misery. And that's the real problem.
