Dr. Berg answers the question "Is Arsenic dangerous in sea kelp?" Sea kelp contains an excellent source of iodine which is good for the thyroid and decreases estrogen and vitamin B. It also has a naturally occurring element organic form of arsenic. When it is an organic mineral, it is easier for your body to digest it rather than inorganic. It is considered toxic to the body when it is over 15mg per EPA, but the one we use is  0.225mg. Sea kelp we get is from Iceland and certified organic.

Well, it's a sea vegetable. It contains not just a lot of the trace minerals, including iodine, which helps the thyroid decreases estrogen, but it also contains amino acids,

0:55.0

contains a lot of the B vitamins, so it's a great nutrient-dense food.

1:01.0

Now it also has a naturally occurring element arsenic. So in nature

1:07.8

arsenic is in the soils so plants do absorb all trace minerals, but it's in an organic form. But the definition of organic in this sense is different

1:24.3

1:27.4

You have a nature of inorganic, which is like the dirt, the minerals in the dirt,

1:34.8

and then when the plant absorbs the mineral

1:38.1

into the plant, it converts it into an organic form,
