Henry Martin was born 2006 years ago in England. 1781, his father was

of David Brainerd, Life and Diary. And Henry Martin was converted. 1802, he was 21 years old, he resolved to leave his academic career and become a missionary.

But first of all, he became the assistant to Charles Simeon there at the Trinity Church in Cambridge

and served him for several years and then departed for India 1805.

He was going to be a chaplain to the East India company. That was the easiest way to get there. Sort of a 10-making capacity you might say because they won missionaries at that time. England didn't in India.
