0:46.7	West Goldberg, Real GM Radio here here Monday morning monologue talking about Anthony Edwards taking the game over in the fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon against the Lakers. And I want to start not with the game, but I want to go back to something that he said earlier this season when he was asked if he wanted to be the face of the NBA.
0:59.5	He said no, not really. When asked why, Edwards replied, that's what they got when before, talking about Victor Webbenyama. Later during an NBA TV interview, Ant explained, quote,
1:05.8	I'm capable of being that guy, but I don't want to be that guy. Put it like that. I want to

1:11.2	show up and hoop and just kill dudes and go home." End quote. In other words, he doesn't want
1:16.7	to be the face of the NBA because that comes with the hot takes, the criticism, the microscope,

1:25.3	not up to him. Every few years, someone comes along in the NBA
1:29.4	who is just undeniably a star. Part of it is the talent. Another part is personality, but a big
1:36.4	part of it is story. Edward's story is straightforward and surprisingly simple.
