Do you remember where you were the day of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh?

The testimony was going to start, I don't remember, 9.30, 10.

This is journalist Rebecca Traster.

And warning, we're going to revisit a bit of that day.

I dropped my kid off at elementary school.

This is about an hour beforehand.

I bumped into a woman that I knew in the schoolyard.

She caught my eye and we stopped and were like, oh my God.

A group of other women had joined us, women I didn't know well.

Several of them were crying, maybe including me.

We have before us today two human beings, Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh.

We knew we were going to have to go watch this display.

I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what

happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school. Of a woman and her experience of

pain and assault, watching her performance as if you were watching like an Olympic sport, like a gymnastics competition.

Does she keep her balance? Does she wobble?

With what degree of certainty do you believe Brett Kavanaugh assaulted you?

Is she going to stick the landing? Do you know what I mean?
