Paul Quinn is on trial for a brutal rape that occurred in Little Hulton, Salford UK on July 19th, 2003. Andrew Malkinson was convicted of the crime in 2004. 0:25.8	And of course I'm talking about Andrew Malkinson's conviction for the

1:14.6	this episode is not for you. This is a really difficult, heavily propagandized case. And I came on to try to explain why I've been gone.
1:30.8	And I have to say that every time that I look into the wrongful conviction movement and
1:42.1	the way that our media is so unskeptical and is so quick to support these cases,
1:54.1	I do get a little down.

2:01.5	but it is hard.

2:14.1	Really, if you ask what innocence fraud is,
2:16.6	I would say it is a scam for lawyers to gain financially, but it's also a scam for journalists and documentarians, quote, unquote. People like to make advocacy pictures, Hollywood, people who write books,
2:38.0	to gain wealth, status, power by promoting the innocence of a convicted or formally convicted criminal.
2:55.9	So I would consider it an organized crime, much like a mafia.
