First up today, we had this YouTube question from Linda a couple of days ago, and I know Adrile wanted to get a chance to address it.

She says, I have a question regarding marriage and about making a covenant vow before God when you get married. My husband recently divorced me, and I don't believe it was based on biblical grounds for God to allow a divorce. I still feel in my heart that I'm married because I made that covenant vow before God. There was no infidelity.

There were no extenuating circumstances as far as addiction. There were some anger issues,

some fighting, and some blended family issues with children and money issues. But my question to you is,

does God consider us to still be married in his eyes?

Thank you for that question. I know you gave a follow-up also sharing a little bit more

information. One of the things that I said was, it is clear in scripture that if two people

are not divorced, you know, with biblical grounds, that in

God's sight they're still married. I mean, that's Jesus's point in Matthew chapter five. It was also

said, whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. But I say to you that

everyone who divorces his wife except on the ground of sexual immorality makes her commit adultery

and whoever marries a divorced woman commits

adultery. And so what I said was, look, there are biblical grounds for divorce.
