A dear friend, an amazing apostle, and someone who took charge in a way of preparing you to take over his role.

Yeah. So it was five years ago when I moved to Ann Arbor. So I was teaching at the local high school

and Al heard about the kind of work I was doing and like you, like me, he is a convert, he's a revert

to the faith. And he saw the attempt I was doing at applied biblical theology that undergirded

and permeated all the theological work I was doing. And that was essentially what he was doing,

except he was doing it by applying it to the culture and to every facet of human existence.

And so he met me and essentially from that day earmarked me to be a successor.

It was weird.
