So, it is an honour for me to be here this evening, and I'd like to spend a few moments speaking

about the tears of the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, from a certain perspective,

We all know the surah that I read, just now, surat al-Buha, wa lalayli, Ida, sahja.

I think many of us read it so often in prayer, and many of us would actually automatically

read it sometimes without even concentrating on the meaning.

Perhaps we don't even know what it means.

So if we were to go back into history and go back and look at the surah of Muhammad, Salallahu

Alaihi Wasallam, we would find something very, very interesting.

We would find that there was a time when revelation commenced, when jibril, alaihi s-salam

had actually come with revelation from Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, to the messenger peace

be upon him, and the verses were revealed, e-Qara meaning read, and the Prophet Muhammad

peace be upon him said, ma anab-e-qariin, I am not a reader, I can't read.
