I'm recording this episode on Royal Caribbean Serenade of the season.

Why am I mentioning that?

It's not to gloat.

It's to point out something a lot of people wonder about, which is, should they go on a big ship or a small ship? It doesn't matter if you're taking

your family on a newer ship or a bigger ship or an older ship. How does that really factor in?

Let's talk about it. Here we go.

So as I mentioned, I'm sailing on Serenade of the Seas. And as I got on board the ship,

I was reminded of a question that was asked me on a recent YouTube live.

We do YouTube live every Monday on our YouTube channel.

We're Elkhribian blog, so please join us for it.

And one of the questions was about actually Adventure of the Seas and whether or not that was a good choice for their first family crews.

And in this case, the family had kids that ranged between the ages of, as I recall,

seven or eight, all the way up to about mid to late teens. And it seems like a very simple question,

but there's a lot more to it. And certainly, many of you listening to this can probably relate,

as you think about, is it a good idea to bring your family on, you know, a serenade of the seas or an icon of the seas or an enchantment of the seas or Voyager of the seas, etc.

There's always that middle ground.

I feel like when you're talking about a new ship, icon, wonder, Odyssey, Utopia, there's less of a concern that you're making a wrong decision because it's the newest in the fleet.

It's the latest and greatest. Royal Caribbean's got all those commercials that clearly show what's there.

I think there's very little trepidation among families as to what is a good ship for them to go to when you're talking about a new ship.

I think really most people just kind of start to question, do I need to pay that much?
