Summary

We’re barely two weeks into 2026, and there’s already been enough news to last the entire year. Why are so many things happening seemingly all at once, and is this the year that things finally begin to break?

Well, we are only a couple of weeks into 2026 and things are already getting a bit lively,

0:06.1

both domestically and in foreign affairs. And the popular meme of nothing ever happens has played out

0:14.4

true. It's had a pretty good track record, except now it looks like we may be entering into a realm

0:19.4

where a lot of things are happening,

0:21.1

some things are breaking, and it actually presents an opportunity for certain things to

0:25.1

maybe get fixed.

0:26.7

So what we're going to do today is we're going to go over a litany of things that have

0:29.6

happened in the past two weeks, and we're going to explain kind of the context behind some

0:33.4

of these things, why it's important and what hopefully we should do next to actually

0:37.8

create a stronger America, you know, one that is actually concerned about our interests

0:41.9

as opposed to the rest of the world's interests, and one that is probably, I don't know,

0:45.5

a little less willing to put up with the constant critiques of who we are and what we

0:51.4

represent both externally and internally, all of that coming up on this episode of making the argument. We got the whole crew back in the studio. I'm your host, Nick Fratus, my wife, my beautiful bride, Tina, Queen of the Bees. Hello, everyone. And then of course we have our political prognosticator, the Oracle of Virginia, as well as our resident historian, Christian Hines. How are you doing?

1:11.2

It's good to be back. All right. Let's go ahead and jump right into this. So two weeks,

1:16.8

man, I did not have on my bingo card. As we were settling down for the holiday season and

1:23.4

Christmas and New Year's, if you would have said, hey, Nick, what if I told you that Minnesota was going to

1:29.5

completely blow up, we were going to basically go down there and take the illegitimate

1:35.5

leader of Venezuela and we were potentially going to get into a big conflict with NATO.

1:40.5

And I don't mean like with as in leading NATO.

1:42.8

I mean like with NATO over Greenland.

1:45.6

I would have said, ah, that seems like a, seems like a lot to happen in a couple of weeks. And yet

1:50.0

here we are. There have been all kinds of movements taking place. Some of them impacting,
