Summary

Every now and then something so common sense comes up in DC it's guaranteed to be blasted.  New Speaker Mike Johnson wants to send $14 billion in aid to Israel and he wants the $14 billion to be taken from the IRS.  Brilliant.    A top advisor to Zelensky in Ukraine tells Time magazine the leaders are stealing "like there is no tomorrow" from the American taxpayers.  Can't wait to hear how Biden responds to that.    We voted on Monday and there's a sea change taking place in our "non partisan" local elections as politicians are making it clear where they stand.  We have examples.    Chiefs fans everywhere are complaining the team is going to Germany to play the Dolphins and it's a reflection of how spoiled we've become.  Meanwhile, Dabo Swinney at Clemson has a spoiled fan base he may be losing after blasting a very young fan on his radio show.  We will play it for you.    And hockey player Adam Johnson is dead after another player slashed his throat with his skate in a pro league in Europe.  It's the most gruesome thing you've ever seen and it does not look like a freak accident.   And our Final Final is a hoops star gone broke finding out his wife has a dirty job on the side.

Well, we've got a nice start with Mike Johnson taking over a speaker of the house with the GOP,

and I don't know where this will go or if it will work, but it is one of

0:21.0

those things that happens. And when it does, it becomes such an easy choice. And you see something

0:26.1

so crystal clear, you're like, love the simplicity. And it is sort of a roadmap to how government

0:31.8

could work if we just executed it the right way. You know, we have easy decisions in life. We often get

0:39.0

choices of should we go out to dinner and spend money going out to dinner or, especially when

0:45.7

we're younger, should we pay the power bill, you know, to keep the lights on? Those are easy decisions.

0:51.2

You pay the power bill and you delay taking your girlfriend or your wife

0:55.0

or spouse or whatever out to dinner. These are very simple decisions that we make. And we have them,

1:01.9

no matter what stage of life you're in, maybe I'm different than most, but I think most people,

1:06.5

most common sense folks, most common sense conservatives, see many decisions is very easy. If things are

1:12.3

tight, you're trying to send your kid to college. Do we spend the money on sending our kid to

1:15.5

school? Or do we take a vacation to Europe? Okay, that's a first world problem, but most people are

1:20.3

going to send their kid to school and they save up for it. Should we continue to invest in retirement

1:26.0

or should we just spend it all because, you know,

1:29.6

life's too short and you never know, and then you may wind up broken in some terrible home

1:33.6

someday that the government pays for and they're trying to take care of you and change your

diapers when you're 90 years old. Well, that's an easy one. For us, that's easy. Keep investing

in your retirement. Just keep investing in your retirement.

So when something comes along like the GOP proposed on Monday in D.C., it makes you wonder why we even have certain issues that would ever be debated along party lines or something that anybody could
