The CDC is investigating rare cases of heart inflammation among vaccinated teens and young adults.

They're investigating a possible link between a heart condition and the vaccine in teens and young adults.

16 to 24 year olds who receive the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine have experienced higher

than normal cases of myocarditis and inflammation of the heart muscle.

This is a condition called myocarditis that refers to an inflammation of the heart muscle.

Scientists had been expecting somewhere between 10 and 102 cases of the rare disease.

And so far, I've received 275.

With myocarditis, the heart is not able to pump as efficiently as it should.

It seems to start with chest pain, shortness of breath and exercise intolerance.

In 50% of patients, the condition goes away.

In the other 50%, the heart muscle does not completely heal.

It's very hard for us to predict who will and who won't recover.

It's outrageous to see these headlines.

And I think about every product that's ever been pulled,

whether it's a car seat after six children die or some baby care,

some crib where two babies died, we have children dying, we have people dying,

we have heart attack, strokes, blood clots, and now swelling of the heart and children

who have zero risk of this illness.
