Pete Sampson with Tim O'Malley and Tim Priestur, it's mutual disrespect week, Notre Dame versus USC.

We're going to get to sort of the news of the week first, then we're to have a short interview with Ryan Abraham of USC Football.com on Scout. His take on the Trojans, what's happening there with Clay Hilton, etc. We'll get to our picks and obviously talk recruiting because they've got a ton of visitors coming in this weekend. But just sort of the news of the week. We had interviews on Wednesday night. I talked to Will Fuller. It's interesting to get his take on sort of Notre Dame's perception about

USC's perception of Notre Dame. Tim, you talked to Cavari. I also talked to CJ ProCise.

There was a lot to come out of last night in terms of interviews and stories.

I think it's fascinating that when you consider the turmoil, Nordame was physically when they

played USC to end the regular season last year compared to where USC now is with, of course,

the loss of Steve Sarkeesian. They've been down this road before in a different way.

Lane Kiffin was fired during 2013 2013 and Ed Orgeron took over.

It sounds to me like Clay Helton is trying to take a similar approach,

keeping it loose, having fun.

It worked well with Orgeron.

I don't know that Clay Helton's the personality to pull that out of the players that are still there.

But, you know, I just think the huge difference here for Notre Dame last year against USC,

they weren't even close to being able to put a respectable defense on the field.

And it's a much different defense as they go into this.

And so when you consider all the things that are happening against USC,

I know people are worried about the media and not giving Nordame enough credit if they beat USC.

Who cares? Just beat them. Get to 6 and 1. Get to the buy week and just take care of your own business.

You talked to Kavari about kind of missing that game. No, Kavari talked to me, basically.

I was going to say, I talked to Kavari and the separate blossoming entity that is his talent that he is cultivating.

Cavarri, is there a guy other than Cavari Russell that you enjoy listening to talk about himself?
