A rare breaking news just before we hit record.

Usually it's right after we're done recording that the breaking news comes out.

But something that we've expected and sort of intimated for the past couple

podcasts, really, that Steve Elmer won't return to Notre Dame football.

And this season, we'll graduate in May.

We'll take a position.

I believe it's with Bose Allen, a consulting firm in D.C., but I'm not 100% sure on that.

But we'll move to the D.C. area to pursue a

work opportunity regardless. And from a football perspective, Notre Dame is down a 30-game starter

at Offensive Guard. Yeah, I think we came out of, when we were in Arizona, I think that was

when I first heard of the possibility of Elmer bypassing his final year.

And if you read the quotes from him, I have a pretty high degree of admiration for him

because he's so honest about the fact that he's kind of lost his love for the game.

And, I mean, quite frankly, I think there were times in his performance that that was kind of

obvious as well.

But make no mistake, it's a huge loss for Nordaim.

It is a 30-game starter, and we have a tendency to focus on the negative plays,

but there were certainly a lot more positive ones and negative ones with him.
