podcast. The Sikamore gap tree was feld over in England. There's a Sikamore

tree in Northumberland over in England. And someone caught it down illegally. Now

I'll be honest. I'd never heard of the Sikamore gap tree and I'd never seen

the Sikamore gap tree. I had no idea what the Sikamore gap tree was until I saw

it all over the nose this week, particularly on English nose. Well it's a 300-year-old

tree. It was a very uniquely positioned, aesthetically beautiful tree. It looks

fantastic. It's one of the most photographed trees in the world. It's a

tourist attraction. It's a visual symbol of Northumberland in England. It was

very important to the people from that area and it was caught down in an act of

vandalism. I'm guessing it provides those people with a sense of identity and

community in place. So people were very very upset that this tree was caught

down during the week on Twitter. And X is its now known for Foxic. During the week

on Twitter I met a flippant comment about the Sikamore gap tree and it upset

a lot of people. I don't remember what my comment was but I found it ridiculous.

I found it ridiculous in silly. That's a single tree Sikamore tree getting caught

down in England was breaking nose on BBC and Sky News. I thought that was silly

and foolish. So I tweeted something to that effect and it upset quite a lot of

people. People particularly from Northumberland. Another thing is it's Twitter. So

it's very easy to upset people. But I can tell the difference between someone

genuinely being upset and someone being performatively upset. So some people
