Hello, once again, everybody, Tim Priest, with Tim O'Malley from Irish Illustrated, joined by

We have a full house today, much to talk about.

Notre Dame somehow, subway ended up in the Sun Bowl. We know how we're going to discuss it.

Tim O'Malley, John Bryce, Pete Sampson jump in and get that narrative explained right away, please.

Well, I think the biggest thing is that as Louisville lost Saturday night denying the ACC a chance to get two teams into New Year's six bowls, very obviously caused a cascading ripple.

And then as it was put to me earlier today by someone on campus, quote, the ACC took care of its own.

And once it filled up some of those other bowl slots, then that left a sort of jumbled mess for bowls to fight over it.

And, you know, I spoke with a bowl person not involved with any of the ACC alignments who just

said it was one of the biggest clusters he could remember.

Yes, I was trying to get in touch with somebody at the ACC and did this morning.

There was a report from Brett McBurphy that Notre Dame was somehow ineligible for the Gator holiday Pop-Tarts bowls, and I was told that was incorrect.

Notre Dame could have been selected for those.

There was, you know, there was talking about bowl rotations and Notre Dame having just been there.

They couldn't go back.

The only bowl that they were sort of ineligible there among those three really would have been the holiday bowl because of rematch with USC.

But there was nothing stopping the Gator Bowl or the Pop-Tarks Bowl from selecting Notre Dame.

They just did not.

Right.

I think, you know, the holiday bowl just absolutely made no sense for Notre Dame.

That has, there would be no reason to do that.

You can make yourself ineligible for a bowl and take whatever else as opposed to a rematch
