It's two days before Nordame takes on first ever opponent, New Mexico, the first of seven home games at Notre Dame Stadium this year.

Before you guys say anything about the matchup between Notre Dame and New Mexico, I'm going

to remind you.

I wasn't going to say anything.

Of last year's game against Ball State when we all basically said that there was no

chance that Ball State would be competitive.

And maybe we should say Nordame allowed them to be competitive in that game.

Yeah, I mean, that's why I know you guys, I wasn't on the podcast earlier this week,

but I know you referenced the question to Brian Kelly about Ball State.

And there are certainly some differences.

The biggest one is they didn't play Michigan the week before.

And they didn't play that well the week before.

So I think those two things sort of eliminate the hangover effect.

It's just like you look at Notre Dame under Brian Kelly.

When they play poorly, when they play out of characters often after a big game, not before one.

So this is before one, not after one.

Ball State was after Michigan.

This is before Georgia.
