Welcome back everybody to another edition of Irish Illustrated Insider.

I'm Tim Prester with Tim O'Malley.

We are a couple days removed from Notre Dame,

essentially ending their quest for a New Year 6 bowl with a 31 to 23 loss at Clemson.

Not outside of a Northame leading for early on with the three points.

They trailed for the last 52 minutes or so, did nothing offensively down the stretch when they had a shot.

And then Tim, Clemson,

Clemson gives them an opportunity with the fumble by Mafa.

But of course, even then, I know our reaction, even then,

it's like, okay, well, that's not going to lead to Notre Dame marching down the field

and scoring a touchdown.

But just that a real lackluster performance by the offense,

the defense struggled in the first half, put it together,

and gave the offense a chance.

But with the game plan that they put forth there down the stretch,

there was no way they were going to march the length of the field and have a shot at tying it with a two-point conversion.

No, which is a very sad commentary because that was an opportunity.
