Hope everybody had a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend.

In the midst of that Fourth of July weekend,

bombshell news coming out of the Big Ten and Southern California, where USC and UCLA will be joining the Big Ten,

words that we never thought we would ever utter in our lifetime.

That will happen in 2024.

Naturally, this is set off a bit of a chain reaction and speculation as to what's going to happen with college football.

Will there be a reduced number of conferences?

It looks like we're headed that way.

Will it be two?

Will it be three?

I can't imagine it being more than three, and it kind of looks like it's in the direction of two.

But Tim, let me throw it over to you.

Everybody is familiar with this story and seems to have an opinion about what's best for

Notre Dame and college football. Your perspective on it. Yeah, so many things changed with that

announcement. A quick digression, I will say, is never what I've expected that until it happened. And I was like,

oh, yeah, that makes sense. Things are always changing. And this just does it right here.

As soon as USC Big Ten sounds ridiculous, but you're like, yeah, makes sense. More money. They're doing it.

No, but for years and years and always Notre Dame, you know, you would never imagine something like that.

And I thought one day before USC and UCLA making that decision that Notre Dame's independence would be safe clearly through 2026, probably from 2026 through 2035 when you're still in the dallions with the ACC.

And now it just seems like after 2026, Notre Dame will be joining one of the two major conferences. So that is a
