Illustrated Tim thank you for joining me on this podcast we are we figured hey what better time

for us to do our first Irish crossover podcast

than Notre Dame versus Clemson? We may be surprising some people here,

uh, hooking up for this. But, uh, yeah, this is a perfect week for Brian, number one. Good to get a

number one back into Notre Dame Stadium. Unfortunately, we won't have the crowd to go with it.

Uh, but that's, that's not going to deter from the competition on the field at the end of the day. That's all that really matters.

I think it's a great opportunity for Notre Dame. I think that Clemson, this is a, you're not

going to catch Clemson as vulnerable as they are right now. And I think I would have said that even with Trevor Lawrence coming to Nordham Stadium, although that would have made a huge difference. But, you know, there are some holes on the defensive side for Clemson, partly from personnel loss from last year, and also partly from some injuries that

they're suffering. So great opportunity for Notre Dame here, but a real stiff challenge, even without

Trevor Lawrence. And that's the thing is this is a team that's going to be very talented across

the board. Notre Dame is catching this 2020 Clemson team at a time where, as you mentioned,

they are, I wouldn't say it's a typical rebuild like a rebuild is for most teams. But for Clemson,

it's a rebuild in that, you know, they lost four starters on the offensive line. They lost T. Higgins,

the NFL, Justin Ross with his health issues, Tyler Davis, their studdy tackle has been banged up.

So it's just one of those things.

And they were already young to begin with and inexperienced at a lot of key positions.

So that doesn't mean they're not good.

I've made this point, Tim.

I'll see if you agree with this.

With Trevor Lawrence, I still think they're the first or second best team in the country.
