Norendham gets off to a fast start offensively, a very slow start defensively,

and then outscores Louisville 28 to 3, down the rest of the stretch there, 49 minutes, allowing

just three points over the final 49 minutes. So it ends up being about what the odds maker

said it would be in 18-point game.

Norden wins by 18.

A little bit sloppy at times, but ultimately Nordham comes through when they have to to get the victory.

We talked a lot about in August what could Notre Dame do against Louisville to change your mind going to the Georgia game.

They didn't change my mind positively.

They probably shouldn't change my mind

negatively, but we will get to one reason why we think we all wrote columns about a major

surprise from the Louisville game that none of us talked about was that Ian Buck wasn't great.

Well, we did mention that he, we thought he started slowly in camp, but we didn't anticipate,

he had picked up the pace, so we didn't anticipate he would have that kind of slow start, I think mentally.

I mean, mentally he had a slow start to the season.

But we saw instances last year where he struggled in the first half.

He kind of gets upset with himself at halftime, comes out and plays really good football.

He was much better in the second half.

He was seven of 11 for 160 yards or 130 yards,

whereas he only threw for 63 in the first half.
