Certainly not 176 from Tony Jones, but he played great.

Nordheim's offensive line destroyed that interior of USC's defensive line.

Nordheim had to hold on to get the 3027 win.

But that's the third

win in a row for Brian Kelly over USC, which hasn't been done since the Bob Davy era. And now

Notre Dame goes into the by week with Michigan coming up and that kickoff time has been set for

7.30 p.m. in Ann Arbor. Guys, just your thoughts on Notre Dame's win over USC?

I was struck by the reaction to it because it was really all over the map.

My personal feelings were that both Notre Dame's coordinators had really good games,

but people who read or listen to podcasts maybe don't agree about that.

So that I thought, I thought that was a little bit strange.

I thought much like last year, it's the kind of performance that will absolutely get Clay Hilton fired because USC is really talented.

And they don't play that way.

But you look at their individual pieces and it doesn't make sense.

We said that before the game and I think that you come out feeling the same way.

The individual pieces are good.

It would have been better for Clay Hilton if they got blown out because they'd be like, wow, we're just not close to Notre Dame.

Like, clearly they have enough material to beat Notre Dame, but instead they're losing

to BYU.
