Notre Dame defeats Purdue 27 to 13 to move to 3 and 0, setting up this weekend Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin in Chicago's Soldier Field.

Guys, just your impression from the game on Saturday, Nordame appeared to be a somewhat

better version of themselves.

They still have their issues offensively, but the defense really stepped up and really

performed well in holding down a Purdue passing game that is certainly capable of

scoring some points.

It was one of, I think it was the first performance in the season where I felt like I knew

what I was talking about because, you know, we had talked about how we felt like the defense

could and would get better, right?

You know, that tackling would resolve itself, the personnel substitutions would resolve itself.

And I think that all happened and gave Marcus Freeman sort of a toehold for the rest of the season to build on.

You know, offensively, I think they are who they are.

You know, the offensive line, I don't think is going to make a drastic improvement from here on out.

It can get incrementally better.

But if there was one thing that I would just sort of flush from last week on offensively,

it would be the drops from Lindsay, Wilkins, Austin.

I don't see that as a repeating issue moving forward.

And when it's not, then I think you sort of see the architecture of what could be a very good team.

Yeah, that's my takeaway was the wide receiver issue, which was one of the two, or the passing game issue.
