Welcome back to another edition of Irish Illustrated Insider.

I'm Tim O'Malley, joined today by Tim Priester of Irish Illustrated and Pete Sampson of the Athletic in a three-man booth.

Today we're going to discuss a few items off the field and how they might relate to Notre Dame and your enjoyment on the field.

Number one is I want to clear up a little confusion, Tim and Pete, about the ACC games against Clemson that don't count as such and how that's really not that big of a change from the past, Pete.

No, it's not.

When Notre Dame broached the idea of, do you think we could count the Stanford series as an ACC game after

Stanford joined the league they were promptly told to give don't touch grass on that one so

the fact that Clemson wouldn't either I mean it's a 12 game series but five of them were already

scheduled those five count as ACC sort of allotment games.

The seven that are new don't.

It's fine.

If I was Jim Phillips, I would demand the same thing because you got to look out for the

everybody else in the league.

If you're, because by, if you had sort of put everything in those five game allotments,

you're, you're removing Notre Dame games from Wake Forest and Pittsburgh and Boston College

and Louisville and your other conference members. And that's, I wouldn't want to be a conference

commissioner telling them they're going to do that.

You're going to pay Clemson more, remove a Notre Dame game, and also please say thank you for the fact that we're moving this Notre Dame game.

So it's just part of being in a conference.

You've got to look out for more than just the team at the top, which in this case is Clemson.

I mean, I think that's perfectly fair.

And you can, first of all, you can understand why Notre Dame would initially think,
