Guys, we are officially in the offseason where our questions are very good, and we're searching for a little bit of news here in the football.

Fortunately, Notre Dame always provides some. We're going to start

Drew Mentock with you because Jeremiah Love with a record-setting deal, I did not know what the

deal was going to be. I opened the story. And when I saw $53.9 million guaranteed plus a $35 million

bonus, I thought, well, he made the right choice. Definitely. Yeah. And that's more guaranteed money than any running back in NFL history.

That's about, I think it was almost 18 million more than Sequin Barclay has guaranteed.

Now, if you break it down by average per year, not guaranteed. I think he's about seventh already in

NFL too. So that's a,

that's a pretty good place to be. He's already ahead of Kyron Williams, who's making $11 million

a year. So he definitely made the right decision going number three overall, gets you a lot of guaranteed

money as we're seeing. So that's more to do with where he was drafted, but obviously a huge thing for him,

for Nordame. I mean, that's a number that's all over social media, plus the way he's talking about it, where he feels like he's in rookie minicamp. He's like, well, if you go other places, maybe you're not very well prepared for this, but I went to a place that took seriously teaching me about football. So this has been pretty easy. So when you're hearing things like that from a guy who's making,

you know, $53 million a year, I think if Notre Dame wants recruiting clips and things to show future running backs, I think it sells itself at this point. He's winning the interview game, too, man. He's getting really, really good at it, and it's done a great job representing Notre Dame. And yeah, you can be happy when you have that 53.9 guaranteed. That's amazing at running back. Yeah. It really is. Yes. Now, but he, I mean, think about how far he, we've talked about this before, how far he's come in the interview game. The post, the post-Purdue game when he was struggling through that.

And he's, you know, he's representing the school really, really well.

The other thing, too, with his contract is he said he's going to just live off his marketing deals.

He said he's already well off after NIL.

And so if that $53.9 million, he plans to just give it to his financial team and let let it grow from there. So he's, he's pretty smart about it. And I remember too, at the NFL combine, somebody was just running around asking everyone the same question as $3 million enough to live off of. And I remember he was the only one I saw who was like, three million. Of course, like, I can live off one million for the rest of my life.

So he's clearly a guy who's pretty frugal, talked about already having his dream car.

So I think in terms of that stuff, too, Jeremiah Love is not a guy who's going to go out and just blow his money. He's thinking about taking care of his grandkids. That's how he's put it. Yeah, that was great when he's like, we live in the era of NIL. I'm fine, man. And remember, he actually had real NIL. I keep saying real NIL, but he had the real NIL deal. He had a new balance deal. So he had NIL stipend. It's a fun word to use for $2 million stipends. The old stipend. You know, it's funny this, hook it off this subject, but it takes me back to when NIL started and Notre Dame started getting

in it. And Braden Lenzie was one of the guys that had a deal with Dick, like he was in a commercial, you know, a small, small local thing, I think. But it was Dick, so it's a major sporting goods chain. And he mentioned something about thinking about staying, but also going, you know, into the business world after graduation. She's like, we do have NIL now, which is lovely. His money was probably
