You are listening to Irish Illustrated Insider. I'm Tim Priest with Tim O'Malley and Pete Samson. It's Monday, May 20th. And it's a big week for Notre Dame recruiting. Chris Tyree, Braden McGregor, two significant recruits for Notre Dame, will be making their decisions later in the week.

We have information on the scholarship, the 85 scholarships, and where Notre Dame will be this fall.

Jalen Smith graduated this weekend, along with many of the other Notre Dame seniors.

A story earlier in a week where we talk about the distribution of players from the various states during the Brian Kelly era.

But let's start with Tyree and McGregor, Chris Tyree from Virginia.

The all-purpose back expected to make an announcement on Thursday.

And then this came up over the weekend,

I guess it was, at Braden McGregor. The defensive end, a highly touted defensive end from Michigan

will be making his announcement on Friday. He just visited Florida. Is there, I don't know

that there's a whole bunch of mystery with Chris Tyree, although I want to hear it before I fully believe it.

McGregor's a little bit more uncertain, although probably trending Nordames's way. Pete, what's your perspective on that?

I mean, I think Tyree will commit to Notre Dame on Thursday because I haven't heard anything else for the last three weeks

on that, I think I think it's about right.

McGregor is much more of a mystery.

So I think the trending Notre Dame's way on McGregor, I think, is maybe a little optimistic

for a Notre Dame fan.

I talked to somebody in the Googling last week about McGregor and sort of felt like Notre Dame had

kind of emptied the clip on him.

Like there's not a recruiting pitch they can make anymore.

And that's kind of an uncomfortable place to be because it's a position where you don't

feel like you know how to

affect the recruitment.
