it's monday february 15th and not a lot of huge news really to report with regard to Nortem football,

though Nortem put out a release here recently,

naming Brian Polly and the associate head coach special teams,

well, he was special teams coordinator.

That now belongs to Mike Elston,

who is defensive line coach,

recruiting coordinator,

run game coordinator on defense, just to clarify.

Guys, I mean, I think we all understand. We've seen this many times before. This is a,

this is how you give coaches raises and keep them on your coaching staff. I think stability is good

here. I think both those guys are good coaches, good recruiters.

Certainly add to Notre Dame as a program.

I thought the recruiting coordinator change was a little interesting.

Just because I think Pauline has probably one of the better senses at Notre Dame of like fit for Notre Dame.

I think he did a good job over the last three plus years, but I think Elston did a good job

before that too.

So it's, I guess I thought that was sort of an interesting flip-flop, but, you know, in some ways, I just sort of expected

them to have their contracts extended and get raises without titles changing.

Right. You wonder if, as Brian Kelly kind of talked about associate head coach before,

it grooms you to be a head coach, and Pullians would be, again, a head coach.
