Not a lot of breaking news here as January comes to a conclusion.

We get into February, James Laurinitis, Notre Dame's linebacker assistant has left to go back to his alma mater.

Justin Scott, Notre Dame's big five-star recruit that everybody's been hoping to get a verbal commitment from

did not make the trip into South Bend last week this past weekend.

We've got some interviews coming up here that I'll talk about.

But Laura and I is leaving.

It's not the end of the world.

It is a grad assistant.

He was a great football player.

But Ohio State lured him back.

That's not a real shock, I think, to any of us.

So Nordame will have to find a replacement at the linebacker spot.

And I think you said there's not breaking news.

There was supposed to be breaking news because we were supposed to be having this podcast tomorrow. And that was supposed to be the breaking news we were hoping for was talking about a commitment. Yeah, it's never a great thing when it's postponed. That's how I look at it. It's not a death knell when it's postponed an announcement. But when you're when you're confident someone's going to choose your school,

albeit 11 months prior to it mattering nowadays and they postpone it, it could be either a very

mature decision and a great idea and you got to keep recruiting him or it's that plus bad news right we would

have been we would have been told it didn't matter if he did commit yeah well i mean that's a good

point too but nowadays i don't but i don't agree with that line of thinking no it's better it's better

if he commits yeah p go ahead no would say it would matter if he committed.
