Illustrate. We are joined by Pete Sampson. And it's the aftermath of Nordames 35, 32 victory over

a Navy, a tale of two games. First half, Nordame 35 to 13, second half. Navy won 19 to nothing,

and everything Nordame tried offensively did not work. The infamous 18 plays, not counting the two

kneel downs, Nordheim snapped it 20 times 18 plays. Tim O'Malley, from your perspective,

what happened in the second half offensively and what could have Notre Dame done differently to prevent it from happening?

Yeah, there's two parts to that.

And they, you know, the very beginning, uh, they had six snaps, I believe on two

possessions, two three and outs now. the first thing you can say there is

you're allowed to get first downs, even when you only have three snaps. You are allowed to not have

two, three, and outs to start a half against Navy. But they had six snaps on two possessions. And all

of a sudden, there's game pressure at 35, 24. And honestly, I think that's where things started to go badly

for Notre Dame Dame because look,

you're up 3513. They're coming up firing run blitzes at you. You miss one pass. You have to

punt. That's fine. But at this point, you now know this is all Navy's going to do is fire these

run blitzes at us. They've made us punt two times in a row
