Welcome back, Nordame fans to another edition of Irish Illustrated Insider. It's Monday, September 30th. We are a couple days removed from Notre Dame winning their third game in a row, moving to 4-1 with a 31 to 24 victory over Louisville. It wasn't easy, guys.

You know, Louisville outnumbered Notre Dame in just about every way.

Nordame only had 11 first downs.

But they were opportunistic in the first quarter.

Their defense got better in the second quarter.

Riley Leonard played particularly well when he was given opportunities to do some things

downfield.

And, you know, it wasn't perfect.

It wasn't stress-free, but Nordame led for 50 minutes and came away with the victory.

Yeah, I like the game, the game control they had was impressive, especially considering they

lost immediate control with the opening kickoff fumble.

That that response right away by the offense, one of the most important offensive drives, well, the most important drive of the season to date, other than the

one where they didn't get a field goal to beat Northern Illinois.

Just kudos to the defensive staff and young players because, I mean, you play part of

that game against Louisville without your number one, number two, and number three corner from last week.

Think of it one, two, and three.

Morrison, missed a chunk.

To be able to withstand that and actually dominate against the run in the second half.

I didn't, I don't think I noticed how much they dominated the run in the second half defensively because they got gashed so much in the first.

It's that first impression. But a really good effort by young players when they needed it most.

J.B., that's a heck of a performance against a really, and mentioning what Tim is mentioning about the

cornerbacks against a really good receiving core that we didn't realistically think that Colin Lacey
