with Tim O'Malley and Pete Sampson. And we just got back from Notre Dame's 13th practice

of the preseason, five periods available to the media. It was a special

team's day. We spoke with special teams coordinator, Marty Biagi, he gave us the lowdown.

If you've seen Iris Illustrated instant analysis, you know pretty much the lowdown of kick

return, punt return, kickoff, place kick, punter, et cetera, et cetera.

We'll go over that in this segment.

But also on Tuesday, Nordame practiced at school field in South Bend.

And we saw about what I counted about 75 snaps, a little less than half of those involving the number one offense.

And we got a preview of what appeared at that time to be the

starting guards in Pat Coogan at left guard and Rocco Spindler at right guard. And then today in

practice 13, it appeared to be verified. Those guys are running with Joe Alt, Zich Karell, and

Blake Fisher. Tim, your thoughts on that. Yeah, super camp surprise for August. If that played out

in the spring, Tim, right after you had heard about Coogan and Ashton Craig, we'd have been less

surprised. But I have to admit, I did not often hear Coogan's name mentioned in the spring. So I

carried that over in the summer. And then he also was not the first week guy.

It was a meal Wagner getting looks there. So really interesting that Coogan won that job.

I think Spindler won the job more definitively without being in the coaching room. It certainly

seems like if I were to pick a fourth guard right now, I think Christophic's the fourth guard from what

we have watched, witnessed, heard about.

And we get to talk to Marcus Freeman about it.
