John Bryce of the Football Scoop, also doing work for us at Irish Illustrated, Notre Dame,

number seven seed against Indiana, number 10 seed on Friday, 8 p.m. Eastern Time from Notre Dame Stadium.

A quick update on the weather forecast before we get into Marcus Freeman's contract extension, which a lot of people were clamoring for.

On December 20th, the high is going to be 34, but of course kickoff is at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The low on Friday night is 21 degrees,

a 60% chance of snow, but less than an inch coming and winds gusting from about 10 to 20 miles an hour.

So it'll be an interesting night in Notre Dame Stadium. But first and foremost,

Markets Freeman has a contract extension. He had three

years left on his contract. It's extended three more years. And he gets a bump and pay immediately,

doesn't he, J.B? He gets a significant bump in pay, something that we had discussed really for

about two months running now that he would go into

that $9 million range, $9 to $10 million.

I believe the life of the deal is going to be worth closer to $60 million, but immediately

jumps into that $9 million range from just hovering right around $7 million.

He initially had inked a six-year deal worth approximately 42 million when he signed

on December 1st, 2021. That's the date that he signed. He wasn't introduced until the following

Monday, which was around December 6th or so. But he had signed that initial deal. I saw part of the

documentation on December 1st, 2021.

Now he has a brand new deal.
