I'm Tim Priest with Tim O'Malley from Irish Illustrated with Pete Samson from the Athletic.

It's the day before Thanksgiving, Notre Dame, number 16 traveling to Stanford, losers of three in a row, now four and seven.

Notre Dame has lost five straight at Stanford, but they are a 16 and a half point favorite, with a 90% chance of rain and 17 mile per hour wins forecasted for Palo Alto Saturday. Guys, this is not the Stanford team we're accustomed to seeing. They are poor in a lot of areas.

I do like their quarterback.

I think Davis Mills has a lot of ability, but, man, they don't have a lot of assets working for them right now.

Yeah, I mean, you lose your starting quarterback, your best DB, maybe your best player in Walker Little, their left tackle very early

early in the year.

And they're, Stanford is, you know, O'Malley and I, you were mentioned this before we

started recording, like how good they've been with injuries over the last decade.

That has all fallen apart this year.

And you see like why it's so critical that they

were able to be essentially healthy all the time. They have very little depth based on how their

roster is put together, how the recruiting classes come together. It's just sort of a reality of

Stanford football. So when you start losing guys, there's no next man in.

You can't just plug the next future pro in because there might not be anybody on the

roster you can put in.

That's sort of what the reality they're living with right now.

And all those offensive linemen that made them viable contender for seven, eight years,

they're three guaranteed, they have six years. They're three, guaranteed.

They have six healthy linemen, and three are freshmen, or four are freshmen, three have to start.

I don't know.
