Welcome back to Irish Illustrated Insider. I'm Tim O'Malley, joined today by both Tim Priester and Drew Mentock of Irish Illustrated. It is Monday, May 4th. And we have some recruiting news to discuss. A couple of pledges Friday following our most recent podcast. Two more this morning Monday. And Tim Priester, we issued the famous Irish Illustrated insider jinx by

taping today at 130. He said 11 o'clock. Tim Prester, let's dive into Wonderful Monz,

the fourth, aka champ, the quarterback from Beech and the grandson of Wonderful Monz

from Nebraska back in the mid-70s. You know, he's still so young.

I mean, he's barely played.

He barely played last year with an injury, but he really set the, set the world on fire as a freshman.

I think there's a lot of potential there, but there's just a lot of development to go along with it.

His downfield vision is really, you just watch him drop back to pass in a way he

views things downfield. You know that he's seeing things. I think he's got a, he's got a long

arm, you know, he throws a ball and it just kind of goes, keeps kind of going in layers. I think he

has a chance to be a really good quarterback. The guy that came to mind for me, somebody said Everett Golson, but Jerry's Jackson, because he's a bigger,

you know, a bigger, stronger quarterback, a little bit more likely to run than

Golson would. I thought that that, I'm not great on comparisons. I don't like the force

comparisons, but I think it's comparable there. Somebody said, well, you know, our younger

crowd doesn't even remember Jerry's Jackson. Well, I, that's the comparison I've got to make. I'm not going to compare him to somebody that people are more familiar with, but I don't think is a good comp. I like it because Jackson's sturdy. Whereas, yeah, yeah, also is quick. I mean, Golson ran for

well, but he was quick.

Yeah.

I think Mons has, and sturdy whereas yeah yeah goulson was quick i mean goulson ran for yeah i you know i

but he was quick it wasn't yeah i think mons has you know i think he's got a real spark

a real magic to his game i think that he his career could really really take off but he's

going to have some he's going to have some competition right ahead of them you know

somebody was saying something about how Freeman is stockpiling
