This is Irish Illustrated Insider. It's Thursday, December 2nd. I'm Tim Priestel with Tim O'Malley, Pete Sampson from the athletic. Nor Dame has not made an official announcement, nor do we expect one here today or Friday or exactly when. I didn't know the Nordame coaches are recruiting, but Nordame has a new head football coach.

And it is Marcus Freeman, much to the delight of the vast majority of Notre Dame fans, as far as we can tell.

Certainly, much to the delight of the, the Nordene football team and the recruits. And I, and I think, you know, before, uh, all the eyes are dotted and T's are crossed,

Nordim is going to take care of business and that's recruiting.

That's that's extremely important at this time.

But I don't think it's going to be too difficult for Marcus Freeman to be convincing current players

to come back if they have another year of eligibility and for the

verbally committed players to being all in on Notre Dame with Marcus

Freeman.

I mean, he's, yeah, he's just, the guy is a dynamic, unique recruiter and

communicator.

You know, and those two things go together.

And he has a understanding of how

it is absolutely critical. Like he's naturally good at it and understands that that natural

talent is a prerequisite to being great in college football today. So I don't, you know, there will be a million things that

happen along the way that he will be learning on the job and we're all going to be watching

it and picking it apart. But I think that the Notre Dame fan base right now, and I hope

this trend continues, will enjoy watching him learn on the job opposed to nitpaking everything

that happens. Yeah, I mean, I'd take it one step further with the roster. I think he will probably

have a couple guys come back that might have left. That's not just retention. I mean,

I'm talking guys that could leave. Like, let's, we all thought Isaiah Foski is going to come back, right? If you had to go, make your guess, you say back,

I would say, hammer that back now. We'd say, is Jason Adamiola maybe going to come back?
