As always, been a fair amount of news since our last podcast on Monday.

Captains named starting quarterback, not.

Right guard named.

But let's just put a bow on the suspensions of Demon Butler and Max Redfield,

the sort of unclear punishment for the other four players before we move into football news of people

we expect to play and start at Texas.

What was sort of your opinion?

Because if you haven't watched our incident analysis post-practice yesterday, I think we're

all a little bit surprised at Brian Kelly's stance on Dexter Williams, Ashton

White, Kevin Stefferson, and Tevonconi, about if they're able to play at Texas, he'll play them.

Or he'll make them available.

And I just wonder if we're playing if this is semantics or we're playing word games.

I don't know. I mean, do we all expect Nortem to impose the university to impose some type of suspension for those four guys, whether it be one game or two games? You know, I don't know. It's certainly unusual to hear the head coach say that, yeah, they'll be available to us when they're coming off, albeit misdemeanor charges.

This is Notre Dame, and it's always been handled very, very differently.

Times have changed, no doubt, certainly since Brian Kelly has gotten there.

But a little bit surprising to hear Brian Kelly put it in those terms that they would be available.

Yeah, I figured the gun on the car would be the main reason that he's just going to say that that makes it a much worse decision. And I'm going to offer one game suspension. And I'm not going to beat the drum. I'm just suspended him for a game. It's his decision. He might not do it. I think the university will. there could be a circumstance where one of those guys really was not guilty at all,

and maybe that's why it's kind of being a situation. Or one in particular was. Or one of what

probably what we're dealing with with Max Redfield being a senior and the whole gun and not

belonging to them and cover-ups and you know things like that that. So, you know, I don't know.
