Joining us today is retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, a 21-year combat veteran who served four deployments to the front lines, including Operation

Desert Storm, where he earned the Bronze Star for Valor at the Battle of 73 Easting.

Iraq in 2009, two tours in Afghanistan, where he earned a second bronze star.

And after seeing the realities of war up close, in personal, Colonel Davis became one of the

most courageous truth tellers, which is so important today in national security.

So in 2012, he publicly exposed the gap between official Washington spin and what was actually happening on the ground in Afghanistan, and we're hopefully going to be doing the same gap today.
