2 months ago he was sentenced to death. He had angered the clerical regime

by backing the protests over the death in police custody of Masa Amini. But with the

Iranian presidential election now less than a week away, the Supreme Court there has overturned a sentence and ordered a retrial.

He supported the wave of protests in Iran in 2022.

The protests that came under the title of Woman Life Freedom.
