It does feel like even though we can have tremendous solidarity and indeed sympathy for people of suffering under that regime and our suffering under this bombardment, you know, it just feels like a kind of platitude when Trump says, you know, please go and seize your country. It's not obvious how that would happen. We make two mistakes. One is to think that, you know, Islam is very important. The other to think it's a bit like Christianity really. And then you get gullible, naive, you know,

students in these universities thinking, well, Islam must be fine. So why don't we just support it?

It feels like we're just completely, almost uniquely ill-equipped to deal with these kinds of

global situations. And, you know, it was only four years ago when Ukraine was invaded and the gas

price went through the roof and it's as if our government or governing class has
