Today, breaking news and historic day for the United States, Israel and the world.

The U.S. bombs Iran.

Most of the world was stunned by the news when it broke.

Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success.

Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.

But for one man, sat in Missouri, it was vindication.

Unlike the Iranian defence forces and the intelligence agencies of numerous countries,

he'd seen it coming.

The first indication that something was actually happening

came really from a guy on Twitter who tweeted

that he'd just seen nine B2 bombers go over his house in Missouri

in the United States flying east.

And there'd been a report that B2 bombers were on their way west, possibly to Guam, possibly

to Diego Garcia, where there's that famous US military base.

And so he got a lot of replies saying, no, no, no, they're going west.

He said, nope, these ones were definitely going east.

And it turned out that the reports of B2 bombers going west was in fact

just a decoy, and he had seen the real thing. Trump had said he was going to decide within the

next two weeks whether to bomb Iran's nuclear installations. He actually took the decision within

two days, and the full war room was up in the Pentagon and in the White House
