and I may have slightly different ideas about this,

which should be interesting because it rarely seems to happen.

Yeah.

So everybody knows about capitalism. And if you're just getting on the train, I'll just do a little short primer.

Everybody knows about capitalism, the economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. And, you know,

the market economy where decision making and investments are determined by the owners of wealth,

property, or the ability to maneuver capital or production ability in capital and financial markets. You know, you know, my, my boomer dad still says that capitalism is the best

allocation of wealth and any other systems just inherently dysfunctional.

But we're going to talk about that.

You know, stuff that's definitely not the primary reason why the East Coast of the United States just got rocked by two unprecedented hurricanes in a row in the same month.

You know, nothing to see here, folks, but there is an overriding, an inherent fiduciary

responsibility that companies have to continually maximize profits within a closed and finite

system, and that affects public policy and causes companies and countries to wander
