So last week we talked about my number porting saga and it had actually been done when we were

recording on Thursday last week. It did happily successfully go through on the Friday and I think you even included that in the

chapter art for people that looked at the images but for people that didn't it did indeed work

so that was a relief.

Unfortunately it wasn't the smoothest process ever because

because in the interim time when I was having to use the

use the sim with the old nut with the random number in it but I told I message to keep old number

the Apple watch wasn't very happy about it so unbeknownst to me last week my watch had stopped using my phone number entirely.

So new i messages sent from my watch would go from my iCloud email address, not from the phone

number, so I was using double tap actually to reply to my

mum had sent me a message and so I, while I was doing dinner wherever I was applying to her

with my watch and she was like, it's gone funny who is this I don't recognize his email

because my emails that I used day-to-day are not my iCloud email right so I

didn't like the iCLI just made when I don't really use it. But for every reason the Apple Watch had given up

trying to use the phone number and had switched over to the email address and that

continued even after the number port completed.

So yeah, even so the number porting situation is what caused it to break, but even after the

number port finished it didn't figure it out. And I thought the way to fix this would be to go into the

watch settings and go to iMessage and you know the thing where it says like send and

receive addresses and it has a check marks next to you your phone number and you

need a address. Well there is no such setting screen for the watch

really yeah I swear there used to be or maybe I'm completely making out

...
