Hello everybody and welcome back to another episode of The Damage of Por.

We are coming off a pretty big night and just the first of several in this week.

Last night we had live coverage of what passes for an Iowa caucus these days.

Tonight the state of the union with what passes for a president these days.

And of course later on in the week we are going to be ending with the New Hampshire debate.

And I can think of a few things I'd like to ask the candidates coming out of Monday.

But anyway, look we are going to talk a little bit about the Iowa caucus.

Later on Jordan Uel progressive active is going to be joining us as he does every other week.

We're going to be breaking down some of the big news of the day about the caucus.

Also Nina Turner referred to Mike Bloomberg as an oligarch and MSNBC lost it.

So we're going to have some fun with that.

We're going to be closing out the show with a caucus goers realization of a fairly fundamental

fact about Pete Buttigieg that really made me angry.

And so it's going to be the rare defense of Pete Buttigieg in an entire block of our show.

But before we get to all of that in just a little bit, Ezra Klein, founder of Vox,

podcast host and also the author of Why We're Polarized, going to be joining us in studio.

Pretty important topic to understand and so hopefully we're going to learn something

as we delve into that book with Ezra in just a little bit.

But before we get to all of that, let's start off with some weird news.

Apparently during the Super Bowl festivities, Donald Trump decided to have a little bit

of fun while the national anthem was going on.
