in your faith walk, the deep in your understanding of God's word and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, if you've been listening a lot, you know that this month we are focusing on the theme of forgiveness, all leading up to today. This is, we're calling the Day of Forgiveness. We did this last year as well. And you know, a lot of people got free last year. And our prayer is that more will get free

today. At least take the first steps towards health and healing. And a couple of days ago, we had a

1:00.5

counselor, spiritual director, friend on this show. And I led with this question. And there was so much

1:05.6

ministry that happened. And we got a lot of texts, but we have a lot of listeners. So I know

1:10.0

we didn't hear from all of our listeners. So I want to continue the question, if you don't mind, because I love so much when you engage in the conversation with us. So here's, it's honest and it's a raw question. And because of that, every text that comes in will consider anonymous, okay? Would you tell me this? forgive? Text me, 877-933-24-84. 877-933, 2484. Second question, who do you need to

1:43.6

forgive today? Now, it could be the tiniest little

1:46.2

grudge. Like you've got an annoyed attitude against the kid at the bus stop who pulled your child's ponytail

1:52.1

or you're annoyed by a politician or your spouse or maybe you're holding yourself in contempt.

1:59.8

Who do you need to forgive today? This is an active

2:01.8

process for us as believers. We want to keep our hearts clean. We want so much to heal from the things

2:07.2

that have happened to us. And some of the things we're going to talk about today with

2:10.7

counselor Heidi Mortensen are these, you know, what happens when you try to rush to forgiveness

2:15.8

and you rush past the process of healing?

2:18.8

What are the implications of that? Because sometimes, as she said before the show, the church,

2:23.0

we can oppress people. You have to forgive. You have to forgive. And we don't give any time

2:27.2

for processing pain. So what might that look like? And how important is that? Another thing she said

2:33.2

that was very important that we'll dig into in just a moment
