Today's tip is to throw caution to the wind and invite people over this weekend.

Your house may not be perfect and you may not serve anything fancy.

But small relaxed gatherings in people's homes definitely nurture relationships

and tend to make for some of the most fun experiences.

There's never a perfect time.

So this weekend is as good as any.

Long-time listeners know that I'm a big fan of thinking through weekends ahead of time.

Wednesday can be a good day for this strategizing,

as it gives you enough time to get tickets or reservations,

to hire babysitters if you need them,

or to make arrangements with friends.

If you make your weekend plans on Wednesday,

then you'll also be able to look forward to your plans on Thursday and Friday,
