Same to you. We're going to dip into the mailbag today. I know it's earning season.

And by the way, if you're a longtime listener and you've been wondering why Morgan hasn't been on in a while,

that's why. Just Morgan focuses on the big picture stuff. He doesn't do the day-to-day earning stuff.

That's a good story about why I haven't been on him.

Also, there's actual some personal tension between us.

There's that also. Historically, you're kind of lazy.

So, but let's start with something that is earnings related and this comes from one of our listeners in Texas whose name I'm about to just decimate so I

apologize from that but it's from Gokul Jagadish I'm sorry I'm just

botching that name but anyway he writes it seems to be the flavor of this earnings season,

starting with Twitter all the way to Zillow and Fitbit.

And what he's referring to is and we were talking earlier this morning

about this it really does seem like this is happening certainly more this

earning season than previous earning seasons and that is the tendency

of a company to report earnings after hours and the stock moves in one direction

instantly and then whether it's the next morning when trading begins for

average people like you and me or when the conference call happens maybe

after and it starts to move in another direction and in this case I mean again

maybe it's just me but some of these are we're not talking about one and two

percent moves company reports earnings and then it's up 10 percent and the next morning and it's down 10%.

What is going on with this?

I don't think we can definitively say what it is.
